The fruit is oval or heart shaped with small pliable spines covering the skin. The fruit can be approximately 30cm long and 15cm wide and it weighs between 2.5kg and 4.5kg.
Its pulp forms white, fibrous, juicy segments carrying medium-size dark brown seeds, which need to be removed before using the fruit.
The fruit has a well-balanced flavour, both sweet and acid, ranging between pineapple and strawberry.
USES: Guanabana juice and fresh fruit are enjoyed throughout Colombia. It can also be used in smoothies, ice creams, dairy products and baked goods
SHELF LIFE, TRANSPORT AND STORAGE CONDITIONS
Store at room temperature, ideally between 12°C and 15°C. Never store chilled.
The fruit will be ripe from 4 to 6 days from harvest.
